World Book Day
Our school has been busy celebrating World Book Day!
We had a range of exciting events and creative lessons to discuss our favourite books and characters. Primary 7 really got into the world of make believe when they took the "Hot Seat" as their favourite character and had to answer some tough questions.
Primary 4 used the Diamond 9 to rank the most important features of a good book! It was quite an interesting discussion with lots of differing opinions. Our teachers and Erasmus students joined in the fun.
We held a Scholastic Book Fair this week also. There was so much choice it was difficult to pick a book to spend our free £1 book token on.
The highlight for P5 & P6 pupils however was a visit from "Charles Dickon's" AKA Professor Leon Litvack from Queens University, Belfast. He enthralled us with his story and helped us to be better authors. It was great also to have a visit from our Time to Read mentors from Allen & Overy.
We even dressed up as our favourite characters from our favourite books, can you guess who we are?
