P6 Celebrate National Poetry Day

Thursday October 6th was National Poetry Day. This year the theme was environment. After reading Joseph Coelho’s poem, You Look Like a Rainbow, our P5 and P6s decided to dress in bright colours as a reminder that our words and our imaginations can brighten and enliven our world. We listened today to Joseph’s first poetry prompt, as he takes up his new role as Children’s Laureate. He helped us write our own poem, called From My window, using our own environment, as a stimulus.
