Grandparents' Day - 3rd February 2016

It was a full house in Mercy Primary as pupils gathered in the hall to pray for and pay tribute to our grandparents. 

Primary 1 to Primary 7 pupils took part in the Assembly and  prayer service.  Fr Gareth began with a blessing for everyone, followed by songs,  poems and stories about Granny and Granda!  There wasn't a dry eye in the house as the pupils sang.

Afterwards there was tea and scones in the canteen, thanks to Maria and the parent volunteers who prepared such a lovely spread.  It was such a treat to see so many of our grandparents  there!
