A very busy September in P2CDa ✍🏻📚✏️🎨
We have had a very busy start to Primary 2!🤩
We started our topic ‘All About Me’ and have been learning all about ourselves, our senses and what makes us special. We created ourselves on Just2Easy, painted ourselves (on paper!) and have been writing all about what makes us who we are.
In numeracy, we have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes and seeing what shapes can stack and roll. Which has been very important in the planning of building our houses from 3D shapes. We have explored one more and one less than using numicon as well as making patterns using different equipment.
In literacy, we have been revising all of our sounds and using them to make CVC words with our sound blocks. This has really helped us in writing sentences about Elmer the Elephant, whose adventures we have been reading all about each week.
Lastly, we have been enjoying our outdoor space (in the sun and rain!) and going to the hall for PE each week. We attended our first Mercy Mass at Holy Cross Church. We also got a visit to the rainbow room where we made our own toast for snack.
What a busy month we have had! 🥰
