Primary five have had great fun this year exchanging work with pupils in a primary five class in St Constantine’s Primary School in Glasgow. In the first term they swapped letters, photos, emails and Christmas cards.

This term they have looked at two different ways of travelling to Glasgow for a day trip and have investigated their costs and journey times. Next they made a list of exciting places in Belfast which their friends in Glasgow might like to visit if they were to come to Belfast. The suggested places included Streamvale Farm, Aunt Sandra’s Candy Factory, Belfast Castle, Ulster Museum, Belfast Zoo and W5. Each pupil chose a place and their task was to find information about it using the internet and leaflets. Then they had to present the information in a way which would make the reader really want to visit it. This was done using the Keynote app on the ipad. They also made wonderful St Patrick’s Day cards which Mrs Cush will deliver along with the “Belfast” work when she visits the class in Glasgow. I wonder if Glasgow has as many interesting places to visit as we do in Belfast?  We hope to find out very soon!!
