Our wonderful grandparents!!
The girls in primary five would like to thank all the grandparents who came to the special assembly for grandparents last week. It was wonderful to see so many people there and of course we also thought about the grandparents who could not be present. They are all very important people.
In class we are reading George’s Marvellous Medicine and have been looking in detail at the characters of George and his grandma. We decided to think of pairs of verbs and adverbs to describe George’s grandma.
Girls suggested that George’s grandma
smiles nastily glares icily stares wickedly
eats bugs noisily drinks her tea loudly sits lazily
gobbles insects quickly looks at people scarily
Then we made a similar list for our own grandmas.
We said that they
sit on a chair quietly drink tea politely eat apples fast
smile beautifully walk gracefully
hug wonderfully react excitedly love us all equally
I think that there is no doubt that we are so glad that our grandparents are not at all like George’s grandma.!!!!!
